Science Says, Science Does

Science for the general public

Science does not only cover how your pinky toe works, but also how new planets are discovered! Science is omnipresent and that is why we find it highly important that everyone knows at least a little bit about science and knows how to think in scientific ways. To achieve this goal, Wtnschp does various things like organising scientific cafés and massive science events, writing blogs together with researchers and involving the social center groups.

Are you passioned by science or just very curious? Then follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Flirckr and YouTube to be constantly updated of our blogs and activities.

A few of our projects for the general public

Science Day

Science Day is the day to explore different kinds of science all across Flanders and Brussels. Young and old get to experience scientific experiments from first hand.

Science Bar Brussel

Each month a number of researchers meet in an informal environment to talk about their scientific expertise. You can join them every second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the bar of the Rits Café!

Bright Club

Bright Club is an evening of English spoken stand-up comedy by researchers for everyone! Participants get a short, but intense training and then get three weeks to put together a short set. Expect a night of scientifically sound comedy, brought by researchers and a pro MC.

Science Shop

The Science Shop builds a bridge between the final year students and non-profit organisations. Within the context of their master- or bachelor thesis students give an answer to the research questions of an organisation, in collaboration with and accompanied by an experienced researcher.

Nothing in life is to be feared,

it is only to be understood.

Now is the time to understand more,

so that we may fear less.

Albert Einstein

live for today,

hope for tomorrow.
